Choosing in each 10 Seconds

freedom2

What is it that you truly desire to do or be? What makes your heart sing and your body tingle? Are you doing that in your life now? If you are, what else is possible to take this to the next level? And if you’re not, what stops you from doing or being that?

Too often we allow our fears and doubts to limit our full potential. We are also subjected to the points of view of others and buy into their stories and then use that as an excuse not to step into new and exciting possibilities.

Often the people around us live inside a box of limitations and when you try to step out of the box it makes them feel uncomfortable so they try to pull you back – for your own good, of course.

Take a good look at the box they are living in. By this I mean the ways they limit themselves and what they have created as their reality – are they living the life of their dreams? Probably not – so why would you take the slightest notice of their opinions?

If it’s not other people, then perhaps it’s the voices in your own head. Are you limiting yourself due to a box you have put yourself in and convinced yourself that it’s more secure or easier? This is a distorted perspective because we have to sacrifice who we are and what we truly desire for a false ideal of security. It’s really just familiarity.

When we step outside of our comfort zones we have the chance to create something entirely new. The mind often worries that we will fail or do something wrong, but failure or wrongness is simply a judgement and these judgements are designed to validate the boxed-in reality we inhabit.

In Access Consciousness there is a tool known as Choosing in 10 Second Increments. Instead of agonising over a single choice and worrying if we will make the wrong choice and therefore often choosing not to change, we can simply make a new choice in each 10 seconds.

So you might say: I choose ease and joy . . . pause . . . I choose to create a new job . . . pause . . . I choose to be abundant . . . pause . . . I choose to have harmonious relationships . . . pause . . . I choose to have more ease in my body . . . and so on. Whenever you feel yourself going into the story, the drama, the worry, doubt and fear you simply make a choice, then another and another. It can be any choice that pops into your mind at the time, not the same choice over and over.

This literally rewires your neural pathways because it causes your brain to disconnect from the story and be in a space of brilliance and possibilities. It also takes the pressure off you to make one choice that is “right”. The more you stay in this space the more open you are to possibilities and the less inclined to fall back into old patterns.

Have fun playing with this tool, until next time . . .

Blessings

It wasn’t meant to be – or was it?

shrug

When things don’t turn out the way we desire a very common expression is to say “it wasn’t meant to be” and, I admit, in the past this phrase used to freely roll off my tongue like the slippery little lie that it is.  Yet, what are we actually saying when we utter these words?

I see this statement as a way of pretending that you are less than you are and that you don’t have the ability to create what you truly desire.  It’s an excuse to sink into a state of lack of awareness and diminish your greatness.

Here’s the thing – you are an infinite being, therefore:

  • If you desire it, then have it.
  • If you desire to do it, then do it.
  • If you desire to be it, then be it.

YOU create the possibilities for yourself, not the universe or god or some other being. To think otherwise is to give away your power.

Instead of saying “it wasn’t meant to be” ask yourself if you truly wanted it in the first place.

If not, then acknowledge that. Be honest and admit that you chose not to create that right now. Stop lying to yourself and pretending that something else is directing your life and that you have no say. (You’re an infinite being remember!)

If you did truly want something and it did not turn out the way you desired then shift from victimhood (it wasn’t meant to be) to empowerment (I’m having this! I don’t know how yet, but I’m having it). Then start asking questions – What else is possible? How can I change this? What awareness can I have about this? What would it take for me to have this?

In Access Consciousness we call this “Being in the Question”. You are inviting the universe to respond to your request and you will find that new awarenesses and possibilities start to show up.

Asking questions does not mean that you must then seek answers. This will get you caught up in the mind and will limit your possibilities. Stay in the energy of the question.

Another aspect of the statement “it wasn’t meant to be” is when we desire something but are not willing to step beyond our comfort zones to get it. It’s an easy excuse to say “it wasn’t meant to be” and then give up because change seems too daunting.

Every time you hear yourself say “it wasn’t meant to be” stop and consider the lie you just told yourself and tune in to your actual truth.

  • Did you really want it?
  • Did it just appear different than you expected?
  • Were you unwilling to step beyond your comfort zone in order to have it?

The more you catch yourself saying “it wasn’t meant to be” the more you can choose to eliminate this victim statement from your vocabulary and become more aware and empowered in your daily life.

Show me the Magic!

magicIn our society we are taught to think of magic as a trick or illusion, as something extra-ordinary instead of a normal part of our everyday lives. If we consider that we are Infinite Beings, far more than just a human body, should it not be a natural state of being for us to create magic and awesomeness in our lives – everyday?

Absolutely! And where we get stuck is in the way we go about creating – from a place of limitation, judgement and a lack of belief in ourselves.

Gary Douglas, the founder of Access Consciousness, says “You have everything in your life that you have asked for and been willing to receive”. Read that statement again and allow yourself to feel into the essence of those words.

If you have asked for something and don’t have it, then your personal limitations and belief systems have prevented you from allowing it into your life.

One of the biggest problems is our judgements and expectations. The first thing most people do when we wake up in the morning is make a judgement (good or bad) about ourselves or our lives: I feel sick, I don’t want to go to work, I can’t wait to meet my friends today, I feel healthy or I feel depressed. All of these are judgements.

When we say or think such thoughts we OWN this point of view and make it more solid and real and then we continue to ACT out our current perception of sick, tired, happy or depressed because we just bought into that reality. And this solidness, this fixed reality, does not allow for the unlimited potentials that are also available to you.

Even if you wake up excited and happy, you still have an expectation and judgement about what that means which automatically limits it. You might have a fun or interesting day but it won’t necessarily be MAGIC – and wouldn’t it be great if that magic was part of your everyday life?

What if you woke up each morning and simply said, “How does it get any better than this?” This question (that comes from Access Consciousness) offers no judgement about your current circumstances yet creates a space for MORE.

In asking a question you are inviting the universe to answer. And the universe WILL answer – whether it takes seconds, hours, days, or even lifetimes because YOU just set the energy in motion.

Saying “I want more money”, or “I don’t want to feel depressed” will not invite the universe to respond, you will just end up with more of what you have.

Instead you might say, “What would it take for more money to show up?” or “What would it take to allow joy into my life”.

Do you feel the difference in the energy of these questions?

Asking questions can be done as often as you like throughout your day to keep expanding your current reality and allowing access to unlimited potentials. Remember, that this can bring change! So be prepared to step out of your current reality and be ready to receive!

Are you disconnected from your feelings and emotions?

feelings 2I meet a surprising number of people who are going through life “flat-lining”. This is a term I use to describe someone’s inability to feel any real depth of emotion. There are no wild highs or crappy lows, like most people have. They spend each day just going through the day to day motions of life.

“Depression” is a term sometimes used to describe this and if we define the root word “depress” we think of something being pushed down, lowered or dulled. And that is exactly what happens to varying degrees. Some people are clinically diagnosed with depression, while others may go through life seemingly quite happy on the surface, yet without any real passion or personal fulfilment.

An example of this could be a woman who marries and has children and over many years forgets her own personal dreams and goals to take care of her family. Life deals a few heavy blows and she learns to shut down emotionally and just get on with life. She does everything for everyone else and may be quite content with her family, but her own needs have taken a back seat to those around her.

This can happen for many reasons, from subconscious beliefs that she is not good enough and must therefore do things for others to be liked, or perhaps she has experienced some trauma and learned to push her feelings down to keep herself safe. No matter the reason, the most important thing is how to change this, and I offer some ideas below:

  1. Reconnecting with feelings and emotions

One of the simplest ways to do this is through Conscious Breathing. This is where you place your awareness on each breath as you breathe deep down into your belly. Keep your shoulders and chest fairly still as you allow the belly to rise like a balloon.

This method will seem too simple, but I constantly see students who take the time to practise this and are amazed by the results. It will get energy flowing through your entire body, which helps to clear blocks/stuck energy very organically – no forcing or manipulating . It grounds and centres you and connects you with your divinity.

If you’d like to know more, just join my mailing list (via website or email me) and you will be sent a FREE E-BOOK about Conscious Breathing. This will explain the benefits, how it works and how to do it. There is also a short video on my website homepage. www.kerynlee.com.au

Try the following exercise to release blocked energy and reconnect with your feelings/emotions:

As you do the Conscious Breathing, just notice how you feel. If you feel nothing/depressed, then just allow yourself to sit there connecting with this nothingness/depression. Allow it to be ok to be like that (because most often we are taught to pretend we feel fine when we don’t). The more you stop fighting what is happening within you, the more easily the energy will begin to shift.

Just keep breathing and noticing how you feel. Notice if it changes or if some emotions come up.

Let’s say you notice some sadness. Just be aware of this sadness and as you breathe begin to allow this feeling of sadness to expand and become more. Fear may rise here because you have learned to push down your feelings, but remember it’s all just energy. Give yourself permission to do this and release this old pattern. Keep breathing and noticing how you feel. Eventually you will feel a shift take place.

You see, sadness, anger, grief etc are all just stuck energy and when you allow yourself to BE PRESENT and let the energy flow freely it will release the blocks quite easily. Yes, there may be other layers and emotions and feelings, but if you do this daily, you will see significant changes.

  1. Oxygenation and Rehydration

Firstly, dehydration can significantly contribute to depression, headaches and other problems, so be sure to drink plenty of pure water and avoid coffee and soft drinks.

Water also provides oxygen to the body and we need oxygen to survive – obviously. However, in this day and age we are deprived of life-giving oxygen through the state of the air we breathe, the food we eat and the water we drink. There are two other very simple and effective ways to increase oxygen intake:

The first is through Conscious Breathing, which we have already mentioned.

The second is through the use of Young Living pure, organic, unadulterated, therapeutic-grade essential oils. (I am listing this brand specifically because I have personally experienced these oils. I use them in my healing work, I know the efficacy of them and that they do not contain chemical fillers etc. Most other essential oils are aromatherapy-grade or perfume grade and do not have the same constituent availability and often contain chemicals. Be very aware about what you put on/in your body.)

Young Living Essential Oils transport oxygen through the body and contain sesquiterpenes that have the ability to go beyond the blood/brain barrier and deliver oxygen straight to the limbic system increasing the secretion of endorphins and stimulating the pineal and pituitary glands.

They also provide anti-oxidants and can raise the frequency of the body. For example, the human body itself is said to have a normal frequency range of 62MHz to 68MHz. Young Living’s Rose Oil has a frequency of 320MHz, Frankincense 147MHz and Lavender 118MHz. They therefore have the ability to significantly impact health and wellbeing and mood.

A few oils that are known to assist with depression are: Frankincense, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine. Plus Young Living have created a few unique blends like Hope and Joy and Valor. These oils can be diffused in a room or applied topically and have been a godsend for some of my clients.

  1. Belief systems

One of the biggest influences in the area of depression, lack of fulfilment and passion, and indeed all of our lives, is to do with our belief systems. Whether our beliefs come from family, friends, school, childhood experiences or traumatic events, they do shape our reality.

If you felt second best to an older sibling who was a high achiever, you probably have a belief system about not being good enough. Whether you are aware of it or not, this belief is like a computer program that runs in the background influencing all the other programs that are open on your computer, in other words, everything else that’s happening in your life from relationships to career to personal fulfilment.

Interestingly, belief systems can be quite simple to change. You may have heard that if you repeat affirmations for at least 21 days you can create a new behaviour or perspective, and this can happen. But most people aren’t that focused, it becomes tedious and boring to continually repeat something while wondering if it is actually going to work.

Theta Healing is one way to by-pass the tedium and effectively change your belief systems. You can learn to do Theta Healing yourself or go to a qualified Practitioner, and I highly recommend the later if you are unfamiliar with how this works. One simple Theta session can change dozens of beliefs and create new neural pathways to bring about new behaviours and eliminate unwanted ones. It can help you remember what it feels like to experience joy, to trust yourself, to express your feelings and to live without feeling that you are not good enough.

You will find more information about how Theta Healing works in the following articles on my blog: Beliefs create Reality, Pathways to Freedom and Connecting with All That Is.

Pathways to Freedom

brain pathwaysTheta Healing – Part Two of Three

Last month we took a look at one of the elements of a Theta Healing session that is called Belief Work which is based on the understanding that thought creates reality. This month we look at a another component that is known as Feeling Work.

This part of a Theta Healing session is about building new neural pathways in the brain. Neural pathways are like superhighways of nerve cells that transmit messages. The more one of these ’superhighways’ is used the more solid it becomes, and when they are not used, they atrophy.

As an example, consider someone who is addicted to food, alcohol, drugs or cigarettes. Turning to these substances when the person is under some sort of stress becomes a familiar habit because this neural pathway has become well worn and so the brain automatically uses what is more easily accessible instead of seeking out an alternative.

In such a situation, the person has generally forgotten how to feel fulfilled, how to feel joyful and alive without turning to substances. They have forgotten how to cope with challenges and how to overcome difficulties effectively, because these neural pathways are rarely used.

Fortunately, the brain is ever-changing and new pathways can easily be created. To do this in a Theta Healing session we decide what neural pathways would support the client and then ‘download’ those feelings.

For someone with depression we might download feelings like—I know what it feels like to be happy, I know what it feels like to  live without anxiety and I know what it feels like to enjoy life—and this creates a new neural pathway.

It should be noted also, that many people do not know what it feels like to be happy or joyful because due to life circumstances they may have never experienced  such things. By connecting with Source/the Creator/All That Is, we access the feelings of joy and happiness at their highest potential and then teach the cells what these things feel like and so a new neural pathway is born.

Choosing the pathways the client might like to build takes only 5 or 10 minutes, and ‘downloading’ these feelings takes only a few minutes. The results are instant and life-changing and take place at a cellular level.

This is fantastic for addictions, phobias, lack of self-esteem and illness as well as helping to learn new skills, gain confidence enhance intuition and so on. The sky is the limit.

Next month in Part Three – Connecting with All That Is will be discussing the Theta brainwave state and how energetic healing takes place as well as our connection to Source.

Beliefs Become Reality

brainTheta Healing – Part One of Three

You may have heard of Theta Healing yet not actually know what it is, how it works or how it might be of benefit to you so over the next few months I will be presenting a three part feature on this amazing healing modality.

There are various elements to Theta Healing which is why I have chosen to divide this subject into three segments. In this first we will be focusing on a technique known as Belief Work.

These days more and more people are becoming aware that thought creates reality, they have heard of the law of attraction and understand that the ‘vibes’ they send out to the world around them have an impact on what they attract into their lives.

I’m talking about more than just positive thinking here—which is a little like putting a band-aid on a broken leg. For example, someone who has experienced abuse as a child might suffer from depression as an adult and thinking positive thoughts might help to lift a person’s spirits temporarily, but it doesn’t address the deeper unresolved issue.

It’s these deeper issues that are sending out a ‘vibe’ or frequency that attracts similar energies which often brings more abuse, more depression and anything else that might resonate with that particular energy.

In this situation, belief systems have formed and been firmly planted in the mind and may include things like—I am not good enough, people always abuse me, I am not worthy of love, I am afraid of trusting people and so on.

Many turn to therapy and counselling which often tends to recycle these energies and can take years to bring any significant resolution.

How do you change this? How can you transform this energy easily?

That’s where Theta Healing can help.  By taking the client through a short simple exercise where we access the sub-conscious mind, we are able to intuitively access the ‘root belief’ that holds all the other related beliefs in place. The practitioner can then replace this belief with a more empowering one which allows a complete and total transformation of this energy. It happens very organically, is not stressful or confronting for the client and involves no forcing of energy or recycling the past.

The practitioner facilitates this shift by going into a Theta brain-wave state and connecting with Source/Creator and then connecting with the client – which automatically brings them into a deep meditative state – and this provides a relaxed, open and responsive environment for this graceful shift of energy.

In my classes I often talk about thoughts and beliefs being energy, and energy can be changed, transmuted, transformed, recreated and uncreated. And this ‘Belief Work’ technique transmutes that old unresolved energy instantly, allowing the client to experience a deep shift.

This alters their ‘vibe’ or frequency and reduces the possibility of recreating the old situation of abuse or depression etc. Then, when you add the other elements that are part of a Theta Healing session, you will see that this makes for a very powerful and successful healing modality.

Next month in Part Two – Pathways to Freedom we will be discussing the Theta technique of working with ‘Feelings’ or ‘Downloads’ which involves reconnecting the energetic pathways of the brain to help prevent old patterns repeating and to open up new potentials.

How can Theta Healing help you?

Theta Healing can help you release limitations and improve aspects of your health, relationship, finances, spirituality and life in general. From addictions, phobias and weight issues to gaining confidence, developing intuition or specific skills and allowing greater joy and abundance into your life.
